The first edition of the 1988 vintage was released in 2009, when John Ramsay, the Malt Master at the time, selected the casks that were at their best. Aged in a mixture of first fill American Sherry hogshead and refill Sherry butts and bottled at 43%.
Nose:
Rich, spicy: ripe, dark, berry fruits.
Palate:
Rich, full flavour: candied orange peel, fruit compote.
Finish:
Very long, medium sweet
